Cornerstone Research has a position available in its
Menlo Park, California, office.
The position of Computer Systems Specialist is available
for a person seeking responsibility to maintain and grow
a network of Novell fileservers, Macintoshes, PCs, and
Sun workstations. In this position, you will be
involved in:
- User support for Macintosh, PC, and Novell
related issues.
- Articulating information to all types of users.
- Integration of information flow within the firm.
- Continuing development of our growing network.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Network administration.
- User orientation and training.
Qualities Sought:
- Strong end-user orientation and good people
skills.
- A dedication to standards and documentation.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently, and
attention to detail.
- A sense of humor.
Required Skills:
- At least 3 years experience with Novell systems
administration, including Macintosh NLMs. CNE a plus.
- Very strong Macintosh skills including System 6
and System 7. Strong knowledge of major Mac
applications including Excel, Word, and PageMaker.
- Experience with DOS and Windows 3.1.
- Internetworking protocols such as IP, IPX, and
Appletalk.
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience
managing a heterogeneous network.
Cornerstone Research is a litigation consulting company.
